Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

This is a plain-language starting point, not a substitute for legal advice. It was drafted to accurately describe how this software actually handles data, but a document like this should be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your state before you rely on it — especially the sections on data retention, user rights, and any state- or country-specific disclosures (e.g. California, EU) that apply to your business.

Who this policy covers

This policy describes how RENO ("we," "us") collects and uses information (1) from visitors to this website and people who request a demo, and (2) as part of how the RENO software itself works when a contractor uses it with their own customers. Each contractor who uses RENO runs their own private instance of the software — if you're a contractor's customer, the contractor themselves is responsible for their own privacy practices and should provide you with their own notice.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with RENO, we (or a contractor using RENO) may collect:

  • Demo requests: name, company, email, phone number, how many estimates your company does a month, and anything you write in the message field.
  • Customer/lead information (entered by a contractor using the software): a customer's name, address, phone, email, project notes, and photos of their home.
  • Team accounts: a name and email for each person a manager adds, and a securely hashed password (see "How we protect information" below).
  • Standard technical data: the kind of information any web server ordinarily receives, like IP address and browser type.

How information is used

  • To respond to demo requests and get in touch about the product.
  • To generate AI-rendered renovation visualizations from a customer's photo.
  • To calculate pricing, financing estimates, and generate quotes.
  • To create the private, tokenized link a customer uses to revisit their options.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the software.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. A customer's photo and project details are sent to our AI image-generation provider (OpenAI, and Replicate if configured) solely to generate that customer's renovation renders — not for any other purpose. Each contractor's RENO account runs on its own private deployment; customer data entered by one contractor is not pooled with, or visible to, any other contractor using RENO.

How we protect information

  • Passwords are salted and hashed before storage — never stored in plain text.
  • The link a customer uses to view their options uses a unique, unguessable token rather than a public or predictable URL.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as an account is active, or as needed to provide the service. If you'd like information deleted, contact us using the information below.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. If you're a contractor's customer, please reach out to that contractor directly, since they control your project information.

Children's privacy

RENO is a business tool for contractors and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
